Welcome to Jacarrie Kicks For Kids (JK4K), a beacon of hope and transformation in Milwaukee's central city. Born from the vision of our founder, Jacarrie Carr, JK4K has evolved from a humble volunteer-driven initiative into a dynamic non-profit organization, passionately committed to empowering the youth of our community.

At JK4K, we believe in nurturing young minds and hearts from their tender years through to adulthood. Our journey began with the simple act of providing shoes to low-income youth, and has since blossomed into a comprehensive array of programs. From after-school tutoring and mentoring to enriching summer camps and weekend programs, our focus is on holistic development — academically, socially, spiritually, physically, and emotionally.

Our mission is to instill a sense of faith, excellence, and community spirit in each young person we encounter. We strive to not only enhance their educational journey but also to imbue them with the values necessary to thrive in this world. Through our Scholar Mentoring program, Summer Scholars camp, and year-round educational and community engagement initiatives, we guide our youth to realize their full potential.

In the heart of Milwaukee, a city marked by racial segregation and economic challenges, JK4K stands as a symbol of unity and progress. We work tirelessly to disrupt the cycles of low expectations and limited opportunities, replacing them with aspirations of academic achievement and leadership.

Our leadership structure, comprising a dedicated Board of Directors and an Executive Director, ensures that JK4K remains true to its mission while adapting to the ever-changing needs of our community. We pride ourselves on our long-term commitment to each child and our emphasis on building enduring relationships.

Funded by the generosity of foundations, individual donors, and in-kind support from community partners, JK4K is more than just an organization — it's a family. A family dedicated to the empowerment and success of Milwaukee's youth, equipping them to become the change leaders our community so vitally needs.

Al is a skilled professional with a strong background in fundraising and philanthropy. As our Development Director, Al focuses on creating opportunities to support our organization’s goals.
